Weekend Warrior - and some more Florida pics :P

It's Saturday.

I'm at work.....

Surprise, surprise, surprise.......

I'm leaving around noon and I want to go home and re-arrange my kitchen and do some cleaning and get laundry out of the way because tomorrow I want to do NOTHING!

Except get my 5 mile walk in that I have been neglecting.

Last night, didn't get to the gym because of having to go to my mother in laws old house to go through her pantry and spices.  Got a bunch of great stuff, but man, she can't concentrate on ANYTHING!  Ugh.  Worked on it for 10 minutes "Ok, I'm ready to call it a night".  Now I see why she didn't get everything to Florida in one trip.  *sigh*

For some reason I can't pull up Blogger at home on any computer in the house.  It's weird.  I've tried different browsers, resetting my computers settings, and everything and can't get it to come up.

So I can only post from work O.o.

Anyhow.....

Making Tortellini soup tonight!  Tomorrow, we are celebrating my son's 22nd birthday at Arigato Japaneses Steakhouse.  Monday he starts student teaching and he graduates from NC State in May.  I'm getting old.....and my youngest goes back to GTCC on Monday, too.  She turns 20 next month.

Better get back to the grind...soooooo.....here is another batch of pictures from the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Refuge.

Hunger Pains .... and some Florida pictures.

Have you ever noticed that the better you eat and the more you do, the hungrier you are?   Like the less processed crap you eat, you are actually hungry more often?

I still have yet to figure out if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

My food for yesterday:

I don't know if I didn't eat enough yesterday or what.  My sodium intake was great - way below where the max is.  Everything else was good too.

My stomach was eating itself by 8am, but I guess that's normal.  Now that I think about it, whenever I AM eating right, I'm hungrier more - my metabolism runs faster.  Which is a good thing.

I'm back to cutting out caffine and sugar.  I have found that works for me.  I just feel better when I do that.

Today, I have in my lunch bag:

Ezekiel 4:9 Cinnamon Raisin Cereal

1c Almond milk

4 clementines

Chobani Blood Orange Greek Yogurt

Banana

Rachel Ray Strawberry Orange Banana oatmeal with 1tbsp Planters Nuttirition Banana Granola Peanut Butter, chia seeds, and a banana

Popcorn (which I just found out was really gross.....the butter flavor stuck to the roof of my mouth....blah!)

Dinner is going to be strip steaks, possibly a potato, salad and broccoli.  Not sure on the potato.

I am making my tortellini soup tomorrow.  I went through all my old blog posts yesterday and realized I have not made that in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.  Too long....and it's really tasty.

Well, to top off today's musings, here are some pictures from the Florida trip.  These are from the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Refuge

Happy New Year!!!!

I am so excited for this year.

It's going to be a great year.

Period.

No if's, and's or but's.

Hubby and I decided that we were going to be no-drama, no crap, and take the time to enjoy life and being with each other as a family.  When your kids are 22 and 20, it's kind of hard ,but it can be done.

I am back to eating right.  Third day on track.  I FEEL so much better.  I can always tell when I cut out all the crap.  I don't feel "icky".....like heavy and crap.

Had a wonderful Christmas.  Got an awsome new camera, knitting needles, money, a pocket book, boots I had to take back (unfortunately, my calves are too big), and a couple other odds and ends.

We moved my mother-in-law to Florida last week.  My next few blog posts will have pictures from that.

I'm going to the gym at 4 every day the rest of this week.  Period.

They have changed some of our classes at the gym....they got rid of belly dance :(.  And one of the Zumba classes.  I refuse to do the knock out class, because the chick that teaches it is a total bitch.  I can't stand for someone to get totally in my face over stuff.  I can take constructive criticism, but to get in my face and hold up the whole class because I can't do the move exactly the way YOU want me to - forget it.  Nellie and I will be going to one of the other gyms for some classes.  I have to find out how to get my membership changed to where I can go to all the gyms, instead of just the one I got my membership at.

I've restarted logging all my food over at myfitnesspal.com.  It works really well.  I used it before I switched to the program that the gym uses.  I'm going to see how to cancel that one and just go with MFP.  The trainer that I work with for my nutrition has an account at MFP too, so that works well.

I do have some finishes for knitting to post, too, that I did for Christmas presents.

Below are pictures I took at Cedar Rock Park on Christmas Eve morning.  Michael let me have my camera early because he wanted me to take some pictures of him and his brother.  His oldest brother passed away on December 3rd, and he and his middle brother wanted me to take pictures of them for their mom and have them framed for Christmas, but then Michael got the flu.  I think we are going to try to do that this weekend instead.
